Check out this incredible stop-motion animation 'Gulp' by Aardman. It was created on a beach in South Wales, the set was over 11,000 square feet - it has broken the world record for the largest stop-motion animation set! Also there's no high tech fancy camera equipment involved here, it was done on a camera phone - the Nokia N8, there is however a large crane to get the shots - you can see it in the making of video here.
Aardman are a world renowned animation company, perhaps best known for Wallace and Gromit but they create a wide range of different animation too, have a look through their commercial work to see some other incredible pieces. You can even filter so you can see examples of specific types of animation like stop-motion and flash.
