Life Drawing: New sculpture work!

Our Life Drawing students have currently just started a new project: sculpture! They are/will be developing experimental sculptures from the figure at rest. Over the past couple of weeks they have used wire and new clay to experiment with sculpting the human form. This week we will be continuing with the use of clay before moving on to sellotape casts! Have a look at all their hard work so far.. I think you'd agree that they all look great!

New Life Drawing Work!

Here are some images of the new work our Life Drawing students are currently producing. They're really starting to understand and appreciate the human form and we couldn't be prouder of them! Last week they worked from the life model and started to get to grips with new exciting materials to draw with. We're progressing on to sculpture this week and will be making some wire reliefs, Sellotape casts and clay busts of the figure at rest. As always we will keep you posted on their progress! For the mean time check out their fabulous outcomes here.

Student Work: Life Drawing, Movement

Check out the fantastic studies our Life Drawing class have been producing in the last few weeks. Each student has produced three time-based developmental studies based on movement before moving onto a final painting inspired by Duchamp's Nude Descending A Staircase. Have a look on our Flickr page for more examples of the student's work and keep checking back to see the finished outcomes next week!
