Blackpool Council have just unveiled 2,200 metre square typography installation at the bottom of Blackpool Tower. The 'Comedy Carpet' by artist Gordon Young, with typography by Why Not Associates is a celebration of the printed word containing 160,000 granite letters embedded into concrete.
The piece reflects on the history of British Comedy and can to read from different directions with the font varying in size from a few centimetres to a metre.
