New coulsdon favourite: Mark Mawson

Sometimes the simplest things can be so beautiful; just look at these amazing pieces created by Mark Mawson. This creative photographer has been taking pictures for 22 years but recently came up with this eye-catching method of creating watery coloured blobs entitled 'Aqueous'.

The images may look like some strange form of sea life, but it is actually just a blob of soluble paint thrown into a tank of water. Mawson then captures the results on camera, using a strobe to light up the scene. These stunning images show a fusion of colour, water and creative lighting, giving an out of this world feel to his collection.

We strongly encourage you to check out the rest of his work.. especially the underwater section!
Mawson also writes a blog, which you can view here.
