Street Photography Now Project

Hope all of our photography students are making the most of taking photos in the snow!!

Just saw this project for street photography..

It is organised over a year with one subject each week: every Friday, a leading contemporary street photographer will issue a new instruction, written to inspire fresh way of looking at and documenting the world we live in. You can submit up to one photo per instruction to a special Flickr Group. After six days the next instruction will be issued.

It is a great idea for those looking for inspiration and drive, or those looking just for a reason to get out and shoot!

The project will run for 52 weeks, and you can join in at any time. The aim is to build a global community of photographers exploring the rewards and challenges of documenting public life.

It's not strictly a competition, but there is an award for £1000 worth of books, and it is run in conjunction with the Photographers' Gallery during its closure for remodelling and the Street Photography Now book.

If you want to join in, then see here for how to take part.

It certainly looks interesting and if you subscribe to it, please let us know so we can see how you are doing and to follow your progress :)
